Review of The Cairn Subscription Box

  • It took about two weeks for the Cairn box to get here (<-  if you click that link and enter “trailhead” into the coupon code section after selecting your subscription choice you will receive the daypack shown above.)
  • Included was what was shown on their website for this particular box: A Cliff bar (super yummy, even my 5 year old liked it !), the Cotopaxi daypack, a pack of 12 Bottle Bright water bottler cleaners, a Cairn sticker, and a free 3-month subscription to Slipstream (‘The Netflix of Adventure Films’ is what it says….honestly might be worth checking out).
  • I read many comments on their facebook saying that after receiving this first box the quality of them just kept lacking or the variety wasn’t there. So I didn’t keep the subscription going, I am tossing the idea around of seeing what the second one is like at least.
  • The Cotopaxi daypack is so much nicer than I thought it would be !! I am very surprised. I shouldn’t say this – but I am an honest human so I will, totally worth just getting the initial subscription box so you have that bag. The material is great and I feel like it could handle some Florida showers while out. There is a hydration sleeve on the inside (I currently use it as another pocket), there’s a front zipper pocket, and the 18L packing space. The bag itself is extremely lightweight and rolls up/turns into it’s own tiny carrying bag…. I will never get it back into that but, it does it 🙂

About India Hampton

Hello ! My name is India - I am 24, which i'm told often is "still young" and I have an endless passion for the outdoors. It just so happens that I am lucky enough to have a 5 year old son that shares this as well. I want to inspire others to stop making excuses to do the things they love - even if it isn't the same things that I love doing. But if it is, then ask me questions if you have them and I will give an answer if I have one. Being a single parent of not just a kid, or just a boy, but a boy with autism has been hell. It has. And it has also done a total turn around. I know what it's like to be in the middle of a public meltdown and have someone come up to you with nothing but the best intentions and say "it'll get better" while all you want to do is scream "no the f*ck it won't" and drive off and just keep driving because you really don't see it ever getting better. Yeah, you are not alone.
